Salicylic acid (BHA)

An oil-soluble exfoliant that helps clear excess oil and the material that can collect inside pores.

Niacinamide

A form of vitamin B3 used to support the skin barrier and improve the appearance of excess oil and uneven tone.

Alpha arbutin

A brightening ingredient used to support a more even-looking complexion and the appearance of post-acne marks.

Sodium ascorbyl phosphate

A stable vitamin C derivative used for antioxidant and brightening support.

Licorice root

A botanical extract used to soothe skin and support a more even-looking tone.

Hyaluronic acid

A humectant that attracts water to help skin feel hydrated and comfortable.

Zinc PCA

A zinc salt used in oily-skin formulas to support a balanced, less greasy feel.

Panthenol

Pro-vitamin B5; a soothing humectant that supports hydration and comfort.

Betaine

A moisture-supporting ingredient that helps reduce a tight or stripped feeling.

Allantoin

A soothing skin-conditioning ingredient used to support comfort.

Cholesterol

A lipid naturally found in the skin barrier and used in moisturisers to support barrier function.

Phytosphingosine

A skin-identical lipid component used to support the barrier.

Peptides

Short chains of amino acids used in skincare to support the look and feel of conditioned skin.

UV filters

Ingredients that absorb or scatter ultraviolet radiation. Daily sunscreen should be applied generously and reapplied during prolonged outdoor exposure.
